Currently, she has a full-time private practice in evaluation, consultation, and educational therapy for students with learning disabilities and comorbid disorders and is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies at the University of Arizona.

Dr. Jaffe emphasizes problem-focused assessment leading to practical and effective recommendations for instructional and behavioral interventions. This focus is based on her years as a classroom teacher for adolescents with learning and behavioral problems, as the learning disabilities specialist on the statewide assessment team of the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, and as a diagnostician and educational therapist in her private practice.

In her trainings, Dr. Jaffe incorporates all four levels in the hierarchy of test interpretation (i.e., qualitative analysis and scores indicating developmental level, proficiency level, and relative standing in a group) to promote genuine understanding of the multiple facets of the WJ III as well as practical outcomes. As the primary consultant in developing the Woodcock-Johnson III Tests of Achievement Braille Adaptation (APH, 2009), she also provides training to TVIs, psychologists, and educational diagnosticians on administration and interpretation of this test battery.

Dr. Jaffe and Dr. Nancy Mather are co-authors of the book, Woodcock-Johnson III: Reports, Recommendations, and Strategies (Wiley, 2002) and its accompanying CD, and Comprehensive Evaluations: Case Reports for Psychologists, Diagnosticians, and Special Educators (Wiley, in press). Dr. Jaffe is the author of the WJ III Assessment Service Bulletin: Development, Interpretation and Application of the W Score and the Relative Proficiency Index (2009, Riverside).

 TOP

Products | Services | Events & Training | Customer Service | Software Support | Contact
2010 The Riverside Publishing Company, All Rights Reserved.
