Background:

John Harvey, Ph.D. is Director of Psychological Services at Allied Services Rehabilitation Hospital in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He directs the Center for Learning, Attention, and Memory, a program that provides comprehensive psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults with learning disorders, attention deficits, and acquired memory and cognitive disorders. Dr. Harvey works closely with school districts, colleges, and trade schools to design intervention and treatment programs for students with learning, attention, and neurological disorders.

Dr. Harvey obtained his Doctorate at the University of Wisconsin—Madison. He completed a Clinical Psychology Internship at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Knoxville, Iowa. He was Assistant Professor of Medical Psychology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska before assuming his current position at Allied Services. Dr. Harvey has served as an Adjunct Professor at Marywood University, the University of Scranton, and Penn State University—Washington. Dr. Harvey serves on the Professional Advisory Board of the Learning Disability Association of Pennsylvania.
