Background:
Robin Griswold earned her B.S. Degree from Illinois State University
and her M.S. Degree from Northern Illinois University. In addition she
has earned more than 45 academic hours of post-masters academic credits.
She is Illinois certified to teach Elementary K-9, Special Education Learning
Disabilities K-12, Social Emotional Disabilities K-12, and Educable/Mentally
Handicapped/Trainable Mentally Handicapped K-12. Robin has been very active
in the field of special education, regularly attending and presenting
workshops, conferences, and special training sessions. She is a long time
member of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and has served as
President of the Illinois CEC, in addition to being a Regional Director
for many years. She is currently President of the Illinois Subdivision
for Learning Disabilities.
Robin is authorized to conduct training sessions on the Woodcock-Johnson® III having been trained by the authors. Since the introduction of
this instrument in the fall of 2000, Robin has presented numerous training
sessions on both the Tests of Cognitive Abilities and the Tests
of Achievement. Robin has been an educator for more than 30 years,
primarily as a special education diagnostician, consultant and resource
teacher. For more than twelve years, she has taught and continues to teach
the Advanced Diagnostics for Special Education course to graduate students
at Rockford College—Illinois. She also works currently as a special education
diagnostician and consultant for the Rockford School District, and is
frequently called upon, by both clinics and individuals, for private testing
and consultation. She hopes that you are as excited about this new diagnostic
tool, the WJ III® as she is. Robin has a flexible schedule and
is willing to travel to conduct WJ III trainings.
