General Information

The Responsibility and Independence Scale for Adolescents (RISA) is a nationally standardized instrument specifically designed to measure adolescents' behavior in terms of responsibility and independence. Most measures of adaptive behavior target low-level skills, but RISA assesses higher level behaviors. This is especially important when dealing with mildly handicapped or nonhandicapped individuals, as well as juvenile offenders.
