About the Webinar

The Common Core Standards initiative has gained unprecedented momentum with more and more states signing on to adopt these standards going forward. This webinar will deconstruct the requirements into an understandable format and will explore the impact Common Core will have on districts and what can we be doing right now to set the stage for a new level of student achievement.

About the Presenter

Christina Fritz, Senior Content, Account Manager served as an Assessment Director/Manager for Albuquerque Public Schools in New Mexico for seven years, where she led the efforts to move the district to a standards-based reporting system. This effort included creating common formative assessments for class- and district-level use, as well as a standards-based report card. Chris was instrumental in implementing the assessment and accountability aspects of NCLB at Albuquerque. Additionally, as a key participant in item and bias reviews for the New Mexico state testing program, Chris participated in the development of state guidelines for implementing district benchmark assessments, and has conducted workshops and graduate level classes on formative assessment, which included topics such as, analyzing and using data to improve instruction.
