About the Webinar
The Common Core Standards initiative has gained unprecedented momentum with more
and more states signing on to adopt these standards going forward. This webinar
will deconstruct the requirements into an understandable format and will explore
the impact Common Core will have on districts and what can we be doing right now
to set the stage for a new level of student achievement.
About the Presenter
Christina Fritz, Senior Content, Account Manager served as an Assessment Director/Manager
for Albuquerque Public Schools in New Mexico for seven years, where she led the
efforts to move the district to a standards-based reporting system. This effort
included creating common formative assessments for class- and district-level use,
as well as a standards-based report card. Chris was instrumental in implementing
the assessment and accountability aspects of NCLB at Albuquerque. Additionally,
as a key participant in item and bias reviews for the New Mexico state testing program,
Chris participated in the development of state guidelines for implementing district
benchmark assessments, and has conducted workshops and graduate level classes on
formative assessment, which included topics such as, analyzing and using data to
improve instruction.
